Bel Air Knolls

A quiet, centrally located neighborhood of mid-century homes

Bel Air Knolls sits close to downtown and the beach, with hilly residential streets that give many homes a view without the steeper tradeoffs of a neighborhood like the Riviera. It’s one of Santa Barbara’s older tracts, largely built out in the 1960s and ’70s.

Lifestyle

Peaceful and established, with sidewalks, mature landscaping, and a close-together residential feel — a genuinely quiet neighborhood that’s still minutes from everything.

Architecture & homes

Mid-century ranch-style homes with stone exteriors and gabled roofs make up much of the original housing stock, with a growing number of modern and Spanish-influenced updates and rebuilds mixed in.

Amenities

Close to Arroyo Burro and the Mesa’s parks and trails, with a central location that keeps most errands within a short drive.
For sellers
With an older, largely fixed housing stock, thoughtful, ROI-aware updates tend to outperform a full gut remodel here — knowing which upgrades a buyer will actually pay for, versus which ones just add cost, is the difference that matters most.
